在比賽的關鍵時刻犯滿離場，國王一哥DeMarcus Cousins，氣到走到觀眾席，不過一向以火爆出名的他，當然會做出抒發情緒的動作，這次他選擇的是把牙套丟出去，這一個動作，也讓聯盟決定開出本季的第二張罰單，第一張是給了閃電俠Dwyane Wade的割喉手勢，而兩個人的罰金也一樣，2.5萬美金，大約79.5萬台幣，但多被追加了一次技術犯規。
Cousins在這場面對灰狼的比賽，拿下29分7籃板4助攻，雖然最後沒能上場，不過球隊還是以3分贏球，但擁有7年NBA資歷的Cousins，生涯的罰款已經累積將近100萬美金，大約3100萬台幣，衝動的脾氣也付出了不少代價。
另外，NBA球季開打，除了場上球員是主角之外，場上的美女記者也成為焦點，太陽的隨隊記者Lindsey Smith，成為場邊記者，讓球迷開始關注到他。
太陽隊場邊記者史密斯：「哈囉大家好我是史密斯，我非常興奮能夠加入太陽這個大家庭，我將擔任場邊訪問的工作，希望能為大家帶來深入的採訪。」
